In a Design & Build collaboration with Aan de Stegge Twello and Continental Car Parks, we designed the P+R parking garage next to Zutphen station for NS Stations. The P+R is located directly next to the train station and is part of the Noorderhaven district, a former industrial area.

The design is a nod to the historic warehouses that were characteristic of this location.
Design principles
The ends of the elongated building border the two main passages beneath the railway. On one side, the vertical transport from the garage is formed by two spiral-shaped ramps. On the other end façade, the reference to the historic warehouses is reflected in the design of the façade line and the wooden shutters.
Optimal daylight
With the open plinth, we maximized daylight on the ground floor. The facade of the upper floors is clad with wooden slats. The space between the slats allows for daylight and natural ventilation.
Prefab built
The parking garage was designed and built as a prefab structure and could be assembled on site with ease.
ESPA certified
The interior of the garage meets the highest standards of the ESPA (European Standard Parking Award).
