The new building creates a connection between the city center and the Limburg hill landscape. The roof is designed as a walkable green space where people can walk and cycle. From this roof, you can walk straight into nature or head towards the city center.
The building contains a sports hall, an indoor swimming pool with several pools, a restaurant, and a parking garage. We chose a layout in which the changing rooms, sports hall, and swimming pools are immediately visible from the entrance. Behind this area are the restaurant and the terrace.
The exterior facade of the building consists as much as possible of glass, so that the building radiates transparency. At the entrance, the roofs have a ‘bend’ to enhance the visibility of the entrance. In this way, the building becomes part of the landscape, but also acquires its own character.
