Block III in Sloterdijk I Zuid is one of the building blocks of the business park that will soon undergo a transformation, namely into a dynamic Amsterdam contact neighborhood. This transformation fits within the broader trend of urban renewal in our capital, where old industrial areas are being revitalized, thereby enhancing the diversity and vitality of Amsterdam.

Sloterdijk I Zuid is undergoing a transformation from a business park to a dynamic contact neighborhood: a mixed district where living, working, and relaxing come together. With amenities such as schools, childcare, and sports facilities, the area is set to transform into an attractive residential neighborhood for a diverse range of target groups.
The overall plan combines high density with strong ambitions for livability. Attention is given to urban themes such as mobility, sustainability, circularity, nature inclusivity, and equality. There is a strong focus on greenery for a livable, sustainable city. In collaboration with Felixx Landscape Architects, greenery is integrally woven into the design, with connections to the Dijkpark and ecological corridors.
The buildings consist of continuous volumes with various height accents, creating a recognizable and unique identity in the city. The variation in scale and functions gives each street its own character and dynamic. It will be a neighborhood where interaction, diversity, and livability go hand in hand.
The preservation of existing work locations and the arrival of new businesses play a key role in the sustainable development of Sloterdijk. The design provides space for work buildings, flexible office concepts, and creative hubs, thereby strengthening Sloterdijk’s position as an economic hub.
